History of Bharat Mata Temple

The Bharat Mata Temple is situated at the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth land and is committed to the Bharat Mata (Mother India). It was built by the Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt and introduced
by the Mahatma Gandhi in the year 1936.

It opens at 9.30 am early in the day and shuts down at 8.00 pm at night. You can visit here any time of the year.

Where it is located

Bharat Mata Temple is situated at 8 km away from the B.H.U. 2 km away from the Cantt. Railway Station, and 3 km west to the Godaulia. You can reach the Temple by taking an auto rickshaw from Cantt. Railway Station or Bus Stand; it will take about 10 minutes to reach there and will cost just 5 Rupees. You can likewise take a cycle rickshaw and reach there in about 15 minutes; paying 10 Rupees.
